Carry On fue una notable banda hardcore-punk-straight edge de California. Carry On comenzó en 1996 en Atascadero, California (en la costa central). Originalmente llamado Persevere, cambiaron su nombre para llevar a cabo poco antes del lanzamiento de su debut, "Stabbed in the Face" 7" EP en 1998. Todos los miembros originales de Persevere/ Carry On, excepto el cantante George Ryan ha cambiado entre 1998 y 2000. Nick D fue sustituido por Jason, Nick C fue reemplazado por Josh, Buzzy fue reemplazado por Jordan y Andy fue reemplazado por Corey.
El guitarrista Todd Jones llegó a tocar en el Internal Affairs y Betrayed. Todd tocó previamente en Terror y Stand Your Ground. El bajista Greg Bacon ahora toca el bajo en Betrayed, Internal Affairs, y The First Step. Greg Bacon también tocó en Stand & Fight y Evac. El guitarrista Corey Williams ahora canta en Internal Affairs y toca la guitarra de Piece by Piece y Snake Eyes y ex de Stand Your Ground. El baterista Nick Jett toca en el Terror y canta en Piece by Piece . El cantante George Ryan dejó el Straight Edge, justo antes de la desintegración de la banda, y más tarde se unió al grupo indie The Adored con ex baterista de Nat Keefer.
Años más tarde, Carry On tocó en 2 show finales el 1 y 2 de julio de 2005 en el Teatro Showcase, ubicado en Corona, CA. las bandas de apertura incluyeron a Champion, Blue Monday, Allegiance, Betrayed, entre otras.
